Of Daggers and Dreams - Season One: Sharn
Zanne is a portly fellow. He’s made a good living for himself in Sharn these past Twelve years; the Boromars have been fair and never left him short of business, and frankly, he likes the little people. He’s a man of good food and fine wine and tall tales, and the company of Halflings is something he’s never grown tired of. This Daask business though…he didn’t sign up for this. And he never meant to cross the Boromars, it just sort of happened. When someone with that kind of clout shows up in your shop and tells you you’re his new personal fence, well, you just don’t say No, thanks, I’d rather just live. One of these days, he swears, that big payoff is going to come across his desk and he’ll leave this perversely vertical city and settle somewhere by the sea, open up a bakery, and sell rolls and pastries to the fishmen’s kids on their way to school. Until then he’s just going to keep his fingers crossed that that last shipment gets where it needs to be…or he’s a dead man.
